ABOUT
CANADA

The beautiful country of CANADA has been my home since birth in Montreal, Canada.
I have lived in the East (Montreal, Oakville and Toronto, Ontario), and I have lived in the West (Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta).

Edmonton, Canada November 8, 2022 - 18 degrees

Here are some rather typical impressions from both sides (Edmonton, Alberta; Toronto and Kawarthas, Ontario; and Kimberley, British Columbia.) …

You never know what you will encounter on the road, walking across the street, falling from the sky or emerging from the forests and soil. Canada is known for its diverse geography and climates, making it an ideal location for filming.

Whether full ice storms or simply moving lakes in freezing temperatures - both produce the same ice art by the water or onshore.

In the East, my dog braving the icy Toronto, Ontario winds and chill. In the west, the famous Wildrose of Alberta - provincial emblem - growing by my Edmonton, Alberta house.

Springtime buds and flowers v. crazy forest fires emerging from the perfect storm of drought, heatwaves, fluff and any little spark…

Canada and hockey… some of the best hockey you will ever see. This is the Toronto Maple Leafs from the East. Remember #99 Wayne Gretsky from the famous Edmonton Oilers in the West? The classic Canadian battle. The World Games in 2015 in Prague united East and West for a fantastic win.

From wiki: The 2015 IIHF World Championship was the 79th event hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), held in Prague and OstravaCzech Republic, between 1–17 May 2015. It broke the historical attendance record of IIHF World Championships.[2]

Canada won their 25th title by defeating Russia 6–1 in the championship final game.[3]

A Canadian maple tree - this is why we have the red maple leaf on our flag. Flying across the flat Canadian prairies in the middle of Canada. A Canadian rose and woodpecker.

Summertime in Canada turns to exquisite winter art.

Some winter basketball the way only Canadians can play it …

Fall in the West, then some typical Toronto fall scenes…

Flying to Kimberly B.C. to go skiing. Lake Ontario at the right, and the Rocky Mountains in the distance in the middle.

Even in a big city, nature finds a way to make itself at home.
Toronto is a banking city - even the ice breaks in ordered fashion, almost like sheets with mathematical precision.
