Whether through majesty, subtlety or suspense, film entertains and informs. But, perhaps most importantly, film inspires – to greatness, in the best of films.
I believe that is also why I love the storytelling, the screenwriting behind the images and sound; that which asks the images to be understood and revealed through the language of connection to our finer humanity.

She sat poised and pleased, as if contemplating life while enjoying the wind, the plants, the sky. Wary yet serene; content, yet ready to know more…
When I look at my life, I have loved working on and completing beautiful projects: Interior Design that brought exquisiteness, functionality and order to a space; Production Design that enhanced a story theme and character development through overt and subtle details; Screenwriting and Poetry that spoke to the heart evoking imagery and meaning; or beautifully composed Photo images and Film inspiring thought, wonder and delight.
It was never the well-written contracts, legal compliance and the PR dialogues in getting things done that I remember. The highlights of my life have always been those realizations and unique moments of depth and beauty - in their many forms - that profoundly moved me. Some of those moments came poignantly after hardship, usually at unexpected times. But always the special moments were the glimpses of loveliness and grace that filled me with wonder or realization or awe. That is the message of Philosopher Fox Films: To find and show the glimpses that speak to us deeply, reach us and move us to something finer.
And that is the essence and magic of the Art of Film...
One image or story told through incredible cinematography and acting; a beautiful piece of music or phrase spoken with integrity reaching deeply into the heart; one profound moment achieved through meaning, sight and sound combined … only film can so comprehensively uplift and motivate a person in this way.
Whether it is in the art of short film, drama, comedy or documentary, film invites others into an experience. A profound sharing occurs. I wish to continue to learn and practice this craft surrounded by the ingenuity and brilliance of those remarkable professionals and creative talents I am lucky enough to work with.
